Key job responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects spanning multiple engineers across Product, Design, QA, and Engineering to build innovative iOS application experiences, driving clarity on problems before jumping to solutions.
- Own the iOS architecture and shape product vision, providing system-wide design guidance while building business and customer-facing features that balance speed of delivery with long-term foundation.
- Proactively identify and resolve architecture deficiencies in existing software components to improve reliability, scalability, and flexibility.
- Mentor and coach multiple engineers, drive adoption of engineering best practices, and improve development processes to increase productivity and a culture of robust software development.

A day in the life
As a Software Engineer on the eero team, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with Design, Product, Legal, Security, and cross-functional Engineering teams to enhance our retail hardware and software offerings. From building reusable UI components, to integrating with cloud APIs, you will evolve our mobile offerings to handle continuous requests from around the world. eero’s iOS app is essential to connecting users to their networks and giving them control to manage devices and troubleshoot. In this role, you will evaluate and drive adoption of new frameworks and tools, mentor and coach multiple engineers across the team, lead improvements to our build processes and operational practices, and influence eero's future technical strategy and product roadmap.

About the team
We are scaling the eero team and are looking for a motivated, experienced, and product-focused iOS engineer to help us build word-class software that is scalable, highly available, maintainable, and secure. We work on products that define how our customers interact with their eero networks and hardware. We power their experience from login, network setup to device management and much more! We are a full stack team with specialized developers in mobile, web, and cloud engineering working on key features built around the user experience.- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
