Principal Mobile Engineer - AI-Augmented Development

This role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for owning and evolving a critical mobile application that serves as a key customer touchpoint within a large-scale digital product ecosystem.
You will define the architecture, strategy, and execution of mobile experiences across iOS and Android, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability at every layer.
The position plays a central role in shaping how mobile capabilities such as authentication, biometrics, notifications, and device integrations are delivered and maintained.
You will partner closely with product, design, security, and backend engineering teams to align mobile strategy with broader platform objectives.
This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong architectural judgment and hands-on coding responsibility in production systems.
You will also leverage AI-augmented development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining strict standards for quality and security.
This is a high-impact engineering role with ownership over mobile platform evolution, modernization, and long-term scalability.

• Own the end-to-end architecture, design, development, and evolution of iOS and Android mobile applications
• Lead core mobile capabilities including authentication, biometrics, secure storage, notifications, deep linking, and device integrations
• Define the optimal balance between native mobile and web-based experiences across the application
• Drive mobile platform reliability, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Serve as the technical lead for mobile initiatives across engineering, product, design, and security teams
• Build prototypes, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide modernization efforts for the mobile platform
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, documentation, and best practices across mobile development teams
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and documentation workflows
• Review and validate AI-generated outputs to ensure production-ready quality, security, and performance
• Influence mobile architecture decisions and long-term platform strategy across the organization

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant focus on building and shipping production mobile applications
• Strong expertise in mobile development across iOS and Android platforms
• Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart in production environments
• Proven ability to own complex mobile applications or platform-level capabilities end-to-end
• Experience across the full mobile lifecycle including releases, performance optimization, crash analysis, and monitoring
• Strong understanding of mobile security concepts such as authentication, secure storage, biometrics, and session management
• Experience integrating mobile apps with APIs, backend services, identity providers, and web-based components
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools in real-world engineering workflows
• Strong architectural thinking with ability to balance performance, security, and user experience trade-offs
• Excellent communication skills with strong cross-functional collaboration and ownership mindset
