This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on building and scaling mission-critical iOS applications and SDKs used in regulated healthcare environments.
You will lead the design and delivery of high-quality mobile solutions that directly support medical device workflows and patient-facing healthcare experiences.
The position blends hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, requiring strong expertise in Swift and modern iOS frameworks.
You will guide a team of iOS engineers while collaborating closely with product, design, and architecture stakeholders across multiple regions.
A key part of the role is ensuring software meets strict quality, performance, and regulatory standards required in healthcare and medical device contexts.
You will also play a central role in mentoring engineers, shaping technical direction, and driving engineering best practices across the team.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of high-quality iOS applications and SDKs using Swift.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of iOS engineers, driving engineering excellence, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across mobile development efforts.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead technical design discussions, architectural reviews, and technology evaluations for mobile platforms.
  • Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and career development support.
  • Own the quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance of mobile applications and system components.
  • Champion automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and UI testing to ensure reliability.
  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines and mobile development workflows to improve release efficiency and engineering productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with medical software development standards and regulatory requirements, including design assurance processes.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and build prototypes to inform technical direction and innovation.
  • Support internal and external stakeholders by providing technical expertise when needed.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years focused on iOS development.
    • Strong expertise in Swift and iOS architectural patterns, with experience building production-grade mobile applications.
    • Demonstrated experience working on healthcare or medical device-related applications, ideally including CGM systems.
    • Solid understanding of modern mobile architecture approaches (e.g., unidirectional flow patterns such as TCA).
    • Experience working with APIs and cloud-integrated mobile applications (REST, JSON, OAuth 2.0).
    • Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers and driving technical alignment.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
    • Experience with Bluetooth/BLE, SwiftUI/Combine, or Kotlin Multiplatform is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and regulated software development (FDA, HIPAA) is highly desirable.
