Strategy and Operations Lead, Global Business Applied AI

As a Strategy and Operations Lead in the Global Business Applied AI organization, you will drive complex, cross-functional projects and processes as a key contributor with limited guidance, owning critical business initiatives end-to-end. You will work directly with business executives, Director+-level stakeholders, and key leaders to unlock the full value of our internal sales tools.

in this role, you will be operating under extreme uncertainty, efficiently structuring highly ambiguous, complex problems, and generating clear, actionable insights. You will demonstrate strong decision-making leadership, a bias for action, and the ability to build trusted cross-functional partnerships across global product leads, engineering, product management, legal, compliance, and finance.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.


Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $152000 - $222000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex concepts and requirements to various audiences, ranging from technical teams to executives.
  • Ability to structure complex, multi-variable issues, identify potential organizational roadblocks or operational inefficiencies, and build innovative processes to minimize future issues.
  • Ability to operate within a complex, globally scaled product sales, engineering, or sales technology market landscape.
  • Ability to confidently handle pushback from executive leaders, maintaining composure and driving consensus in high-pressure or ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
