KBR is seeking a Senior Manager, Hardware and Software Asset Management to lead the strategy, governance, optimization, and operational delivery of enterprise asset management across a complex global environment. This role is responsible for advancing hardware and software asset lifecycle practices, including licensing, compliance, contracts, renewals, inventory, and financial optimization.
This position plays a critical leadership role in strengthening asset management maturity, enabling financial transparency, supporting business continuity, and driving cost efficiency through enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, and Apptio. The role operates as a strategic partner across IT, procurement, finance, legal, and operations, translating asset data into actionable business decisions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Define and lead the enterprise hardware and software asset management strategy, operating model, and continuous improvement roadmap
Establish and mature asset management capabilities aligned with governance requirements, financial objectives, and business priorities
Partner across IT, procurement, finance, legal, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations to deliver a consistent global asset management function
Provide functional ownership of ServiceNow SAM Pro, ITAM, and Contracts, including discovery, normalization, entitlement management, compliance analysis, and reporting
Maintain integrity of asset, entitlement, contract, and inventory data to support audit readiness, decision-making, and financial controls
Lead software licensing governance activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations while reducing audit and commercial risk
Oversee full hardware asset lifecycle including procurement, deployment, tracking, refresh, retirement, and valuation
Drive optimization activities including reclamation, renewals, true‑ups, and cost control initiatives
Support and influence vendor negotiations, contract terms, renewals, and commercial decision-making
Leverage enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, Apptio) to enhance financial transparency, budgeting, and reporting
Drive automation across software deployment and asset lifecycle processes to improve efficiency and control
Develop executive dashboards and metrics related to compliance, spend, inventory, risk exposure, and savings
Establish governance frameworks including policies, standards, operating cadences, and audit controls
Serve as escalation point for complex asset management issues including audits, licensing, and vendor disputes
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global team while fostering strong vendor and stakeholder relationships
Support enterprise transformation initiatives including acquisitions, divestitures, and system integrations
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of progressive experience in IT asset management, software asset management, licensing, or vendor management
3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or enterprise programs in complex environments
Deep experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro, including discovery, normalization, entitlement management, compliance, and reporting
Working experience with ServiceNow ITAM and Contracts, including lifecycle and data governance
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and familiarity with Apptio or similar platforms
Proven experience managing software licensing, compliance, and multi-vendor environments
Experience leading vendor negotiations, renewals, and enterprise agreements
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle processes including automation, reconciliation, and optimization
Experience with hardware inventory management, valuation, and audit readiness
Ability to interpret contracts and translate complex asset and licensing data into business outcomes
Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications (SAM, HAM, ITAM, Contracts, or platform administration)
Experience with major software publishers (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, Adobe)
Familiarity with CMDB governance, discovery tools, and enterprise procurement workflows
Experience supporting software license audits and negotiating outcomes
Knowledge of financial controls, depreciation, and IT asset capitalization practices
Experience operating within large, matrixed, multinational organizations
Certifications such as ITIL, IAITAM, or related disciplines
