About You
In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center.
Success in the Operations Technician position will require the ability to thrive in a team-based, industrial work environment. Operations Technicians will be expected to continuously improve and develop skills to operate and maintain the Plant’s Converting equipment. Technicians are responsible to be “hands-on” in running the large industrial machines, independently troubleshoot and problem-solve, and conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs.
Operations Technicians will be responsible to login daily to input, update, and interpret data in multiple computer software systems. Operations Technicians will be expected to communicate effectively using typical business software and pursue continual learning and development of new capabilities. Accountability is KEY for technicians to enhance their ability to “flow-to-work” and provide support where needed in a “High Performing Work System” culture.
You will be maintaining equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution of Kimberly-Clark products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work. In this role, you will:
Support the delivery of department and Plant objectives for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Culture by operating and maintaining equipment, processes, and operating areas to standard
Perform basic troubleshooting and multi-tasking
Read and understand written instructions, rules, guidelines, and Standard Work Procedures
Demonstrate attention to detail in a fast paced and dynamic operating environment
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Align with and demonstrate the Kimberly-Clark “Ways of Working” of: Focus on Customers, Play to Win, Move Fast, and Grow Our People
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States
Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma, GED Grade 12 certificate
Have 4+ years of continuous work experience
Have 3+ years of direct relevant industrial/plant operating experience in an operator, mechanic, and/or technical support role
Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills
Able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening
Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
Motivated self-starter who takes accountability and ownership of responsibilities and has a winning attitude of wanting to help others
Able to maintain good attendance, which is an essential function of the job
Must be able to operate industrial vehicles, including forklifts
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., ascend and descend stairs, perform bending, twisting, stooping and crouching motions, and use strong gripping hand functions (push, pull and reach).
All employees are required to wear respiratory protection and PPE including ear, eye, and toe protection while completing essential job functions

College or Trade School higher education
Leadership Experience
Formal Safety Training
Basic Understanding, support, and execution of Continuous Improvement principles and tools
Lift Truck (or other machinery) experience
Converting, Manufacturing Machine Operations, Welder, Burner, Scaffolding or Maintenance experience
Pulp & Paper Industry and/or Mill experience
General Mechanic and/or Electrical & Instrumentation experience

Starting Hourly Wage: $28.02 USD
