Planning Manager Specialist

As a Planning Manager Specialist, you will own key planning processes for our factory in Nyíregyháza, balancing day-to-day planning decisions with longer-term improvements. Working closely with local and global stakeholders, you will contribute to strategic initiatives, support planning transformation efforts, and serve as a role model within the planning community.

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for production planning processes for our factory in Hungary, ensuring alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material availability. Moreover, you will work closely with local and global stakeholders and contribute to both operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

More over, you will:

  • Own and continuously improve short- and medium-term production planning and S&OP processes.
  • Develop and maintain feasible production plans while balancing demand, capacity, inventory, and material constraints.
  • Monitor production capacity, machine utilization, and operational bottlenecks, driving actions to ensure stable and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Global Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment and successful plan execution.
  • Facilitate operational planning and review meetings, providing scenario analyses, performance reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Maintain planning master data and parameters in SAP, ensuring data accuracy and system stability.
  • Drive planning optimization, continuous improvement, and digital transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the planning community, supporting governance, system improvements, and best-practice sharing.

Our Supply Chain team balances demand, inventory, and capacity for products manufactured in Hungary and delivered across Europe. In this senior specialist role, you will serve as a key planning authority and trusted partner to both local and global stakeholders. Beyond ensuring operational excellence, you will lead improvement initiatives, contribute to strategic projects, and help shape the future of planning processes and capabilities across the organization.

This position is placed in our Nyíregyháza manufacturing site and there is no relocation assistance offered for this role.

This is not a people-leader position, it is an individual contributor role.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience in production planning, supply planning, or manufacturing scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end planning processes (e.g. S&OP, capacity planning, supply-demand balancing).
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of planning processes or areas of responsibility.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience contributing to or leading cross-functional projects or process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems), advanced Excel skills, and experience with reporting, analytics, and automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar).
  • Fluency in Hungarian and English.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in a global or matrix organization.
  • Exposure to ERP or planning system transformation projects.
  • Experience acting as a subject matter expert, mentor, or role model within a planning team or community.
