We are seeking a dedicated Engineer to drive technical excellence across both sales and delivery phases of our projects. In this capacity, you will balance hands-on engineering execution with strategic oversight of time, cost, and quality. Your commitment to compliance and Continuous Improvement will directly support our operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engineering in Sales and/or Delivery projects within relevant area.
• Keep and continuously follow time schedule, quality and budget.
• Responsibility in own engineering tasks.
• Fulfil contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE.
• Secure that Valmet guidelines and instructions are followed.
• Maintain and communicate best practices and lessons learned.
• Aim at process performance improvement through Continuous Improvement.
• Support the project team in achieving common project goals.
Tasks
• Understand and strictly follow Company’s Rules, Regulations, Policies, Instructions and Procedures to avoid unnecessary conflicts and to reach expected behavior and job performance.
• Execute basic engineering tasks within relevant area.
• Execute detailed engineering tasks within relevant area in selected cases.
• Development and standardization tasks.
• Identify risks & opportunities and contribute to cost uncertainty update.
• Support and/or execute Design Review of supplier documentation in relevant area when needed.
• Secure quality of engineering documentation (produced and received).
• All other tasks assigned by line manager or company.
Expectations for you:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with a master’s degree preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills to build trust in your network, motivate people and manage different expectations.
• Good knowledge of Evaporation and Ash Treatment product engineering practices and processes.
• Have awareness of local relevant quality system.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Good technical and commercial understanding.
• Excellent proficiency in English and Chinese both verbal and written communication.
• 5 years or more working experience of relevant engineering related to plant and products and a proven track record of resource management.
• Willingness to travel even in short notice.
