WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage pre-construction processes including permitting, inspections, code compliance, feasibility evaluations, and township/city submissions, including electrical, plumbing, and signage requirements with the support of Real Estate and the GC selected. 
  • Develop renderings for design-build and architectural construction drawing documents.
  • Work with architects and engineers on design specifications.
  • Interpret drawings and develop concepts, rendering fixtures, graphics, paint specs, store layouts, and other architectural elements with the support of Creative, IT, Security, and Retail alignment.
  • Manage General Contractors, subcontractors, and construction project managers throughout all phases of the project.
  • Technical expertise and a strong understanding of construction methods, design and building codes.
  • Budget and value engineering by line item for Construction Costs – contract negotiations. Bid leveling and validation.
  • Manage building inspections, requests for information, timelines, and change orders.
  • Track project line items and capital expenditures (CapEx) from project initiation through completion.
  • Ensure all departmental costs are documented and submitted for budget approval and maintain compliance with change-order approval processes.
  • Coordinate store graphics and other visual design elements in partnership with Operations and Creative teams.
  • Source and manage vendors for FF&E, fixtures, finishes, lighting, millwork, flooring, and other construction-related materials.
  • Track invoices and purchase orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved budgets.
  • Ensure all tasks are on time/scope/budget.
  • Host Owner, Architect, Contractor weekly calls.
  • Project GANNT Chart schedule tracking/ownership
  • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience overseeing commercial, industrial, retail, or multi-site construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, permitting requirements, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors while maintaining positive working relationships and accountability.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing competing deadlines, and resolving issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software, including Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar project tracking platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and progressive construction project management experience will also be considered.
