Client Database Specification Specialist

Location: Madrid, hybrid

Job Overview

Under guidance, supports the creation and maintenance of client-specific database specifications, configuring ad‑hoc databases from standard IQVIA systems to meet contractual and operational requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Receives and documents requests for ad‑hoc client databases, including sell‑in and sell‑out territorial definitions.
  • Defines database specifications ensuring that client requirements are correctly translated into data content instructions.
  • Manually configures database definitions within IQVIA systems, following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of all manual definitions, recognising the high‑risk nature of ad‑hoc configurations.
  • Supports delivery during peak workload periods, such as parallel runs and renewal cycles, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Responds to operational clarifications and adjustments required before final delivery to clients.
  • Applies standard practices to analyse issues and resolve routine operational problems related to database definitions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in client reporting, database specification, or similar data operational roles
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability in manual execution
  • Solid PC literacy, particularly Excel and data‑handling tools
  • Ability to work under time pressure and manage fluctuating workload
  • General knowledge of pharmaceutical data or IQVIA information products
