Senior Technical Program Manager, AI

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager, AI based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, AI-native technical program leadership role focused on driving the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives that reshape how modern software is built and delivered. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, infrastructure, and data, ensuring that ambitious AI-driven capabilities move from concept to production with speed and precision. The role requires someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, translate strategic goals into executable technical plans, and actively remove blockers across multiple engineering teams. You will play a central role in enabling the transition from traditional systems to AI-powered workflows that automate operations and improve decision-making at scale. This is a hands-on leadership position where deep technical understanding and execution rigor are as important as program management expertise. You will help define how AI is embedded across products while ensuring reliability, safety, and scalability in production systems.

Accountabilities:

Lead and orchestrate the execution of large-scale, cross-functional technical programs focused on embedding AI capabilities across product, platform, and internal systems, ensuring alignment between engineering, data, and infrastructure teams.

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of complex AI initiatives spanning multiple engineering pods, product surfaces, and infrastructure components
  • Coordinate dependencies across backend, frontend, data, and platform teams to ensure seamless execution of AI-powered system integrations
  • Partner with engineering leadership to design and operationalize AI-driven workflows, including evaluation frameworks, observability, and governance models for agentic systems
  • Identify and resolve execution bottlenecks, technical risks, and architectural misalignments across distributed teams
  • Implement AI-enabled tooling, automation workflows, and development process improvements to increase engineering velocity and reduce operational overhead
  • Facilitate technical decision-making, including build-versus-buy analysis, system design tradeoffs, and platform strategy alignment
  • Define program structure, milestones, and success metrics for initiatives involving non-deterministic AI systems and production-scale machine learning components
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure delivery of AI-driven customer-facing and internal capabilities
  • Support the evolution of internal systems into automated, AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual effort and improve scalability
  • Champion execution excellence by establishing clear accountability, communication rhythms, and delivery discipline across all program stakeholders
  • Requirements:

This role requires a strong technical foundation combined with deep experience delivering complex, multi-team programs in AI or data-intensive environments, along with strong execution leadership and systems thinking.

    • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering, or related roles, with exposure to distributed systems or AI-driven products
    • Strong computer science fundamentals or equivalent technical depth, enabling effective collaboration with engineering and data teams
    • Proven experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical programs from conception through production launch
    • Hands-on familiarity with AI systems, LLM orchestration, or machine learning pipelines in production environments
    • Strong ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple engineering teams and stakeholder groups
    • Experience working with non-deterministic systems, including evaluation, monitoring, and reliability considerations
    • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across senior technical and product stakeholders
    • Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud systems, and data infrastructure concepts
    • Comfortable using AI tools and automation to enhance personal productivity and program execution workflows
    • Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced environments
    • Strong bias toward execution, problem-solving, and delivering measurable business impact
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary and equity package
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
      • Flexible remote-first work environment across the United States
      • Unlimited PTO and company holidays
      • Mental health and wellness support programs
      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions
      • Access to modern AI tools and cutting-edge engineering systems
      • Strong focus on professional development and continuous learning
      • Inclusive and mission-driven team culture focused on meaningful impact.
