Responsibilities
Drives operational efficiency by directing the nuclear pharmacy’s adherence to the business unit’s standard operating procedures. Implements operational changes cascaded from business unit leaders and shares local best practices with Regional Directors and other Managers, Nuclear Pharmacy.
Ensures that nuclear pharmacy operations are in line with business unit’s standard operating procedures in order to achieve compliance with national and state radiopharmaceutical regulations. Applies expert knowledge of state and regional regulations to mitigate any compliance risks and directs trainings for all employees in nuclear pharmacy. Serves as the Authorized User and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the pharmacy.
Oversees fleet logistics to deliver radiopharmaceuticals to customers, managing product decay and time sensitivity of delivery. Communicates with customers during material shortages, market disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances to maintain business continuity and adapt customer commitments.
Supervises teams of pharmaceutical professionals and fleet staff, including daily and nightly staffing, and champions a culture of compliance and high performance. Directs all people management processes for the nuclear pharmacy including recruitment, succession planning, talent management and development.
Collaborates with Sales team to provide input into product commitments and pricing for customer agreements, within the pricing guidelines established by the business unit. Meets with customers to understand evolving needs.
Manages an organizational budget and reports internally on the financial and operational performance of the nuclear pharmacy.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Pharmacy, PharmD or Health Sciences preferred
Must be a licensed Pharmacist in Georgia and obtain Florida license within 6 months of start of employment
Authorized user preferred
Minimum of 1 year of previous supervisory experience in a health care or pharmaceutical environment preferred
Active GA state licensure, and nuclear certification preferred
Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve customer/employee problems or conflicts to meet the needs of external and internal customers
Ability to be innovative in troubleshooting clinical/bio-distribution problems
Must demonstrate effective writing and verbal proficiency in internal and external communications and documentation procedures; presentation skills
Ability to promote teamwork within pharmacy location and region by treating staff members with respect
Must fulfill a commitment to the professional ethics adopted by the pharmacy profession
Ability to plan and implement plans effectively; make effective and timely decisions; and effectively manage a budget and administrative functions
Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
Ability to travel to regional meetings and to customer sites as required
Valid driver's license and good driving record required
Flexibility to work various shifts and rotate schedules as required
Comfortable working in a nuclear environment required
Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $191,070
