About the Role:
The Sr. Staff Enterprise Technology Architect, People Technology is the recognized integration architecture authority for Crusoe’s People Technology ecosystem.
This role sets integration architecture standards across the enterprise, leads technical discovery for complex multi-system initiatives, and builds the next generation of platform practitioners. Workday and ADP Workforce Now are the core systems of record. You'll start by driving Workday Phase 1 and Phase 2 to completion and delivering the ADP Workforce Now integration. From there, transition into the long-term architectural authority for the People Technology ecosystem, partnering closely with HR, Payroll, Total Rewards, and Talent.
What You'll Be Working On:
Lead configuration, testing, and go-live for all in-scope Workday modules across Phase 1 and Phase 2 as client-side technical lead, coordinating with implementation partners and the People team
Drive workstream delivery across HCM Core, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Workforce Planning, Talent and Performance, and Learning
Own the Workday-ADP Workforce Now integration from design through delivery: payroll output file design, reconciliation workflows, parallel run validation, and post-go-live operational procedures
Define and own the People Technology integration architecture standards, covering configuration governance, tenant management, security role design, business process frameworks, and integration patterns
Own the Workday security model, including role-based access control design, domain and business process security policy configuration, and SOD (segregation of duties) considerations with IT Audit and Compliance
Serve as the primary technical partner to the People organization, translating HR priorities into a structured Workday product roadmap and facilitate intake, prioritization, and delivery of platform enhancements and break-fix issues
Lead design and delivery of Workday reporting and analytics capabilities, including Prism Analytics, composite reports, and self-service reporting frameworks for People leadership and Finance
Mentor on topics like integration thinking, architectural rigor, and platform strategy; actively develop the next generation of People Technology practitioners
What You'll Bring to the Team:
10+ years of enterprise systems experience with at least 5 years of hands-on Workday configuration and implementation; demonstrated record as the recognized architectural authority for a major enterprise technology domain
Proven delivery across multiple Workday modules: HCM Core, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent and Performance, Learning, Workforce Planning, and/or Prism Analytics
Deep expertise in Workday’s business process framework, security model, calculated fields, EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), and report writer
Experience with ADP Workforce Now, including payroll, absence, and time tracking configuration and system integrations
Track record as an embedded partner with HR or People teams, translating complex and often ambiguous business requirements into scalable, well-governed system solutions with independently chosen methods and approaches
Experience managing enterprise system implementations from requirements through go-live, including data conversion, testing, cutover planning, and post-launch operations
Strong communication skills with both technical teams and Director-level stakeholders; ability to produce authoritative architectural artifacts including data flow diagrams, ERDs, integration specifications, and system context maps
Proven mentorship record with prior experience developing Staff-level or Senior administrators and architects who have grown in scope and capability under your guidance
