Principal PMT, FBA IOS

Amazon · Bellevue, Washington, USA

The Supply Chain Integration System (SCIS) is the foundational infrastructure for the next generation of intelligent supply chain applications. SCIS creates a unified digital twin of global supply chain operations - connecting Amazon's fulfillment network with third-party logistics providers through open standards to give sellers unprecedented visibility and control over their end-to-end supply chain.

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - Technical to drive the long-term product vision for SCIS and its execution. This is a rare opportunity to define the roadmap for a platform that sits at the intersection of supply chain technology, data infrastructure, and external partnerships - and then build it with a small, high-performing team. You will be responsible for developing this infrastructure with an eye for the applications it will support, and then working with internal and external application builders to help bring their products to life.
This role requires a builder who can think at the 50,000-foot level about where supply chain technology is headed over the next five years, while simultaneously rolling up their sleeves to ship greenfield products today. You will split your time between building the business (developing partnership strategy, earning trust with stakeholders, defining go-to-market) and building the product (writing requirements, working closely with engineering, driving launches).

Key job responsibilities
Stay obsessively close to customers and partners - Develop deep relationships with sellers and supply chain providers and build and intimate understanding of their businesses, value structures, and problems.
Chart the 5-year SCIS product vision - Use your customer obsession, business judgement, tech depth, and supply chain expertise to define how you will extend the impact of FBA beyond Amazon's physical infrastructure.
Drive greenfield product development - Ship real products that bring this vision to life, solving real problems for sellers managing complex, multi-node supply chains.
Develop platform value through integrations - Use your influence to acquire the Amazon and third-party partnerships needed to provide the capabilities and data required by the next generation of supply chain applications.
Champion the application layer - Imagine the next generation of supply chain applications sellers need and identify the right teams and owners to build whether inside or outside Amazon.
Protect for rapid scale - Shepherd product and process design that allows SCIS to grow from a handful of pilots to thousands of integrations without linear growth in resources.- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
- Experience driving alignment across senior leadership (Director/VP level) in matrixed organizations- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting
- Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value.
