As a Test Automation Engineer, a typical day involves enhancing the testing process by integrating continuous and efficient quality engineering practices. This role focuses on improving the overall control, accuracy, and integrity of testing through the application of advanced tools and methodologies. The position requires evolving testing strategies to be more predictive and intelligent by leveraging automation and innovative testing solutions, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaboration with various teams to implement these improvements is a key aspect of the daily routine.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment on quality objectives and deliverables.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Functional Test Planning.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools to design and execute automated test scripts.
- Experience in developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Ability to analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to integrate automated testing seamlessly.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to test automation and quality assurance processes.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Functional Test Planning.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
