Summary:
As a Test Automation Engineer, your day involves applying quality processes and leveraging automation tools and methodologies to enhance testing products and solutions. You will oversee the entire quality engineering function with a strong emphasis on automation, aiming to improve control, accuracy, and integrity throughout the testing lifecycle. This role requires a proactive approach to managing and refining testing strategies to ensure high standards are consistently met, contributing to the overall success of the project and organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement effective testing strategies.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance automation frameworks to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth.
- Monitor and report on automation test results, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Strong automation knowledge in Playwright
Good automation knowledge in Selenium with Java.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks
Knowledge of defect lifecycle and defect management tools
Familiarity with ALM Octane or similar test management tools is a plus.
Experience working in Agile methodology.
Ability to work independently and handle tasks end-to-end.
Knowledge on using AI tools (Copilot) for improving testing efficiency.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Playwright.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
