Responsibilities include:
Define and continually improve the quality of Avigilon’s software and hardware products through the ownership and maintenance of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test automation.
Work with other teams to ensure that Avigilon produces the highest quality, easiest to use products in the surveillance industry.
Design, measure, and report on the performance of various components of our system.
Proactively identify and develop strategies to mitigate performance bottlenecks.
Conduct exploratory testing on new features and platforms, specifically related to AI use cases.
Develop, document, and maintain internal tools to aid testing and development teams.
Lead the verification of resolution for complex defects and customer support issues.
Mentor junior team members and co-ops on technical skills and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Proven ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, often in a lead capacity.
Strong proficiency in C#, Powershell, Python, Linux/Shell, and IP Networking.
B.Sc or equivalent degree in a technical related discipline.
Preferred Experience:
Proven knowledge of general computer items like: RAID, BIOS, Firmware, PCIe, etc.
Prior experience installing and configuring NVR’s, computers or network equipment.
In-depth knowledge of client/server architectures.
Experience with image/video file formats and related concepts.
