This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Automation QA Architect in the United States.

In this senior technical role, you will design, evolve, and scale enterprise-grade test automation frameworks that support modern cloud-native applications. You will act as a key architect responsible for advancing automation capabilities across the organization, with a strong focus on Playwright, Selenium, and Karate-based frameworks. This position goes beyond execution, requiring you to enhance framework design, build reusable automation capabilities, and define best practices that can be adopted enterprise-wide. You will work in a cloud-focused environment leveraging AWS services while collaborating closely with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration. The role also involves exploring emerging technologies such as Generative AI to improve automation efficiency and intelligence. This is a highly impactful position for a hands-on architect who thrives on innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

  • Architect, design, and evolve enterprise-level automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript), Selenium (Java/Spring), and Karate.
  • Enhance existing frameworks by building new capabilities, reusable components, and scalable automation features for enterprise-wide use.
  • Define automation standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines to improve test coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to deploy and manage automation solutions within AWS environments (ECS, Lambda, ECR, Secrets Manager).
  • Evaluate and implement improvements leveraging emerging technologies, including Generative AI (e.g., AWS Bedrock) for test automation enhancement.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and optimizing existing QA automation processes.
  • Work closely with QA, DevOps, and development teams to ensure scalable and maintainable test automation architecture.
  • Troubleshoot complex automation issues and provide technical leadership in resolving framework-related challenges.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for automation engineering practices across teams.
  • Requirements

    • Strong hands-on experience in test automation architecture and framework design.
    • Deep expertise in Playwright (TypeScript), Selenium (Java with Spring), and Karate framework.
    • Proven ability to build and extend enterprise-grade automation frameworks, not just execute tests.
    • Practical experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, ECR, and Secrets Manager.
    • Strong familiarity with DevOps tooling such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
    • Exposure to or interest in Generative AI technologies, including AWS Bedrock for automation use cases.
    • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-driven mindset.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced enterprise environment.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive compensation based on experience and engagement type (W2 or C2C).
      • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
      • Long-term contract engagement (10 months).
      • Exposure to cutting-edge automation frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
      • Opportunity to work with advanced AI-driven test automation initiatives.
      • Collaboration with enterprise-level QA, DevOps, and engineering teams.
      • Hands-on experience with modern AWS cloud services and scalable automation architecture.
