Meet the Team
You will be part of Cisco’s Technical Sales organization, serving as a trusted advisor to customers and partners across Sri Lanka. Working closely with Account Managers, Partners, and Business Units, you will help customers solve business challenges through Cisco’s portfolio spanning Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, AI, and Automation technologies.
As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will own the technical customer relationship, drive solution adoption, and support business growth by aligning Cisco technologies to customer outcomes.
Your Impact
In this role, you will:
- Partner with account teams to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into innovative Cisco solutions.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and solution discussions.
- Build strong relationships with technical and business decision-makers.
- Drive the technical sales cycle from opportunity qualification through deal closure.
- Design solutions leveraging Cisco’s Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, and AI portfolios.
- Coordinate virtual teams of technical specialists to support customer opportunities.
- Provide market, customer, and competitive insights to sales teams and business units.
- Support demand-generation, partner enablement, and customer adoption initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in Technical Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Customer-Facing Technical Sales roles.
- Experience leading customer engagements and managing technical sales opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, and AI technologies.
- Ability to translate customer business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent industry certifications.
- Experience designing solutions across Networking, Security, Cloud, Collaboration, and AI technologies.
- Experience supporting Enterprise or Strategic Accounts.
- Strong understanding of competitive positioning and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated success influencing technical decisions and driving business growth.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
