Lead Account Solution Engineer
Overview of the Role
Are you ready to shape the digital future of the Austrian Market? As a Lead Account Solution Engineer on our Austria team, you'll partner with enterprise customers to turn their business challenges into high-impact Salesforce solutions — acting as a trusted technical advisor and strategic co-pilot to your Account Executive. You'll focus predominantly on Enterprise customers while also working across all segments, helping balance capacity in a growing Austrian market and a vibrant, expanding team.
What You'll Do
- Advise Strategically: Partner with your Account Executive to develop account strategy and co-create business-driven solutions.
- Lead Discovery: Run discovery sessions to identify customer pain points, then co-create solutions on the Salesforce platform together with the customer and our Builder Teams.
- Deliver the Vision: Build and present customized demos, architectural concepts, and compelling value propositions tailored to customer challenges.
- Build Trust at All Levels: Clearly articulate Salesforce's value to everyone from IT administrators to C-level executives.
- Orchestrate the Team: Coordinate extended Solution Engineering resources to deliver multi-cloud solutions.
- Represent Salesforce: Participate in marketing and partner events.
- Gradually build a specialisation: Develop deep expertise in key target industries of the Austrian market.
- Elevate the Team: Mentor peers, engage in internal training programs, and stay ahead of emerging technologies — especially AI and Agentforce.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in roles where technology meets business outcomes, such as presales, solution engineering, consulting (including in-house consulting), or software delivery in complex enterprise environments. We equally value experience built on the customer side, or in in-house roles with strong exposure to customer-centric functions such as Sales, Sales Strategy, or Service.
- A genuine interest in building, backed by a proven track record of applying technology to solve real business problems. You enjoy moving from understanding a challenge to shaping a working solution with the customer.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and CX trends, and the ability to translate this into various industry contexts.
- Proven ability to translate customer needs into a compelling vision and roadmap.
- Solid communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with strong executive presence.
- Empathetic listener with a laser focus on customer success.
- Fluent German and English.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CRM, CX, or Service platforms, including Salesforce or other leading business applications, whether gained in-house, on the customer side, or from a vendor or consulting role.
- Familiarity with AI agent platforms, and an understanding of how AI is reshaping automation and business processes within companies.
