Sales Manager (Technical Sales) - Southeast Asia
The Sales Manager leads the effort to develop and maintain the highest possible sales of company products, meet and exceed overall company sales goals. Sales Specialist communicates and updates the Director of Sales, Asia Pacific ongoing as needed.
As a Sales Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
Work closely with manufacturer’s channel partners to establish and maintain customer relationships and secure opportunities to service existing business and generate new business to meet and exceed company sales goals. Extensive air and ground travel is required, up to and at times exceeding 40% locally.
Obtain and review customer specifications and, working with appropriate Inside Sales and Engineering personnel, provide proposals for products to meet customers’ needs.
Negotiate with customers to obtain orders and close sales.
Evaluate effectiveness of manufacturer’s channel partners and provide suggestions to management concerning additions or changes.
Assist management in projecting sales in designated region based on past performance and current business climate in the region.
Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of sales experience in a company or industry that sells through manufacturers’ channel partners; experience with the sale of pressure relief products is preferred.
In-depth working knowledge of all products, applications, installation instructions and product-related procedures.
Ability to read blueprints
Intermediate math skills and reading skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin, including presentation skills and ability to use persuasion to accomplish objectives.
Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Windows and Office.
