Account Director (6-month short term contract)

About the Role

The Account Director is a seasoned professional with a strong background in healthcare communications, account management and client services. This individual is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. They collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic account plans, maintain strong client relationships, and address client needs and concerns. With excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the Account Director plays a crucial role in the success of the organization and requires a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Manages and oversees the execution of client projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop strategic and tactical plans for clients, focusing on short-to mid-term time frames.
  • Develops new products, processes, standards, or operational plans in support of the job function strategy.
  • Leads and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Supporting the Client Services Director by suggesting and making improvements to team processes, systems, or offerings to enhance the performance of the team.
  • Manages projects with greater complexity and/or scope.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • 5–7+ years’ experience in healthcare communications, agency environment preferred
  • Strong background in account management and client services
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and complex projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially driven with an eye for growth opportunities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead through ambiguity
