About the Role

Motorola Solutions is a global leader in mission-critical technologies for public safety and national defense. By extending its legacy in land mobile radio with an expansive video security and AI analytics portfolio—spanning Avigilon, Pelco, and the rugged, long-range threat detection of Silent Sentinel—alongside advanced mesh networking (MANET) and RF intelligence, the company provides a resilient "Safe Nation" ecosystem.

Malaysia is one of our most successful markets globally, serving as the trusted communications backbone for the nation's critical agencies. As the Country Sales Lead for Malaysia, you are the Field Commander on the ground. Your mission is to protect and elevate our core incumbency with the government sector and lead the execution of the mega-renewals, and provide strategic guidance to a Defense Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Incumbency & Succession Execution

  • Next-Generation Relationship Architecture: Actively map and build high-trust relationships with the incoming wave of leaders across the government sector.  Ensure seamless succession planning to bring increasing value for our customers in our core footprint and establish the blueprint for further expansion with Video security, AI analytics, Mesh Networking (MANET) and RF intelligence. 

  • Mega-Deal Execution: Lead the tactical ground execution to secure infrastructure renewals and position our converged ecosystem as the standard for public safety.

2. Procurement Mastery & Partner Orchestration

  • Experience in the Government sector: Work with the Malaysian government procurement cycle and regulations.

  • Ecosystem Management: Orchestrate and enable System Integrators. Ensure local partners are technically equipped to deliver complex "Safe Nation" integrations beyond legacy radio.

3. Matrix Leadership & Strategic Synergy

  • Defense Expansion: While your primary focus is Public Safety, you will provide strategic mentorship and collaboration leverage to the Defense Sales Director.

  • Align with the Hub Director: Work with the Regional Hub Director to secure the regional air cover needed to close strategic pursuits.

Basic Requirements

  • Government Heavyweight: More than 10 years of B2B/B2G sales execution in Malaysia, with a dominant focus in the government sector.

  • Elite Network: Direct experience to within the government sector and partner ecosystem. 

  • Procurement Expertise: Knowledge of government processes and the local partner ecosystem.

  • Field Commander DNA: You are a hands-on personnel who expert in close complex deals, guide peers, and work with the government sector.
