About the Role

The Customer Success Renewals Manager is responsible for building, managing and leading a team of Renewals Sales Representatives by overseeing all activities related to retention of customers on maintenance contracts, upsell opportunities and consistently meeting or exceeding renewal quotas. In addition, this leader serves as a technology-focused sales professional who provides strategic business direction and technical vision across the region, and driving Veeam revenue through expert account planning, resource planning and allocation. Success in the role requires an organized, team player, with the ability to manage multiple renewals sales campaigns simultaneously with a focus on ensuring that the value of Veeam solutions are understood by customers and partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Renewals Sales members, ensuring strong engagement, performance, and career growth
  • Drive achievement of renewal targets by closely managing pipeline, forecasts, and execution of renewal strategies
  • Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to improve individual and team sales outcomes
  • Monitor contract lifecycle (expiring maintenance, renewals) and ensure timely and accurate closure
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise account value
  • Partner closely with Field Sales, Channel, and Customer Success teams to align account strategy and customer engagement
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key customers and partners, acting as an escalation point when needed
  • Analyze renewal performance metrics (renewal rate, attach rate, churn risk) and implement improvements
  • Optimize renewal processes and workflows to increase efficiency and predictability
  • Ensure effective use of CRM (e.g. Salesforce) for pipeline visibility and data accuracy
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and operational excellence
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned with Veeam values

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales management or supervisory experience preferred;
  • Demonstrated experience in building, training, managing, developing, and getting results from an inside sales team
  • Skilled motivator with demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales staff to exceed targeted sales objectives and deliver high quality service to customers
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced, matrix environments
  • Business-level negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with customers and partners
  • Deep understanding of the Japanese sales cycle, including stakeholder alignment, decision-making processes, and long-term account management
  • Experience navigating complex customer organisations and driving sustained account growth
  • Language Skills:
    • Japanese: Native or business level (required for customer and stakeholder engagement in Japan)
    • English: Preferred but not required; ability to communicate with global teams is a plus
