Manager, Sales Development

Smartsheet is looking for a dynamic and supportive Manager, Sales Development to provide daily coaching and leadership to a team of SDRs. This team will have primary responsibility for servicing inbound sales inquiries with a focus on engaging and qualifying all prospective customers. Your primary role will be to manage and motivate our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). You’ll have the ability to immediately impact decision-making in a high-growth company. 

You will report to our Sr. Director, Sales Development and can be based in our Boston, MA office or work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:

  • Support SDRs through stages of lead engagement and qualification
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of Smartsheet’s complete capabilities
  • Manage day-to-day schedules of the team
  • Be an active coach through call reviews and feedback sessions
  • Motivate individuals to succeed through impassioned leadership, coaching, creative incentives, and celebration of results
  • Develop incentive plans and SPIFFs to foster an environment that values competition and collaboration
  • Guide program and participant success; invest in the success of the team and mentor a team early in their sales career

You Have:

  • 2+ years sales experience in SaaS 
  • 1+ years sales management experience
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring emerging sales talent
  • Experience giving both positive and constructive feedback
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a distributed sales team
  • Capability to understand customer pain points and requirements, capacity to respond with value of Smartsheet products and services
  • Experience using CRM and power BI software (Salesforce and Tableau) to track daily activities, key metrics and gain territory insights
  • Passion for working with new technologies and technical concepts
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of other post-secondary education

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.

US Base Salary Pay Range
$90,000—$112,500 USD
