Bazaarvoice is looking for an extraordinarily talented, high-performing Account Executive to join our EMEA sales team. This role is designed for a unique, new-business hunter who craves a challenge, thrives outside their comfort zone, and possesses the strategic rigor to manage a high-value retail territory across Southern Europe. 

As an Account Executive for Strategic Retail, you will build a pipeline and drive the sales cycle from start to finish. If you are a consultative storyteller who can navigate complex enterprise organizations, build consensus, and defend a high-ROI solution to C-level executives, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate the Territory Ecosystem: Act as the strategic leader of your territory. Conduct account planning, territory management, and continuous pipeline generation, while rallying internal cross-functional resources to maximize coverage and close deals.

  • End-to-End Deal Architecture: Manage the entire lifecycle of high-value enterprise SaaS deals—from initial prospecting and precise qualification to sophisticated contract negotiation and closure.

  • Strategic Opportunity Mapping: Move beyond standard discovery to conduct deep-dive analyses into a retailer's business model. Reveal latent pain points and align Bazaarvoice’s high-ROI solutions with their business objectives.

  • Value Defense & Executive Presence: Partner with a prospect’s marketing, merchandising, and technology staff. Confidently demonstrate and defend the ROI of our platform, successfully building consensus from Marketing Managers up to CMO, CTO, and Procurement levels.

  • High-Velocity Discipline & Forecasting: Drive urgency throughout the sales funnel, handle objections with resilience, and maintain a high volume of outbound activity. Deliver exceptional qualification and accurate forecasting over a two-quarter period.

  • Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of e-commerce industry trends, competitor movements, and shifts in consumer behavior to provide proactive strategic guidance.

  • What You'll Bring:

  • Proven Track Record: 3 year experience in a customer-facing, new-business SaaS hunter role, with a proven history of managing high-value portfolios and consistently exceeding quotas.

  • Retail & Digital Savvy: Strong knowledge of and experience selling into large, complex retail organizations.

  • Strategic & Financial Acumen: Expert in value-selling innovative software in a fast-changing space. Ability to articulate complex ROI models and use data-driven storytelling to win complex "consensus" buys.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead internal support teams, articulate a clear account strategy, and secure the internal resources needed to win.

  • The Bazaarvoice DNA: A high level of enthusiasm, coachability, and an unwavering work ethic. You are comfortable hearing "no," shaking it off, and pivoting your strategy to find the "yes."

  • Language: French language proficiency at Native or C1 minimum.
  • Right to Work: Eligibility to work in France without restrictions.

  • Desirable Criteria:

  • Industry Background: 3+ years of experience selling e-commerce, MarTech, or digital marketing technology, with established relationships up to the CMO level.

  • Brand Experience: Experience selling to large consumer brands in addition to major retailers.

  • Global Mindset: Additional European language skills are a strong plus.

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Net New Revenue: Driving net new business within the Retail segment.

  • Pipeline Velocity & Accuracy: Consistently generating pipeline and moving opportunities through the funnel with speed and precise forecasting.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Successfully leveraging and orchestrating your internal support resources to maximize territory efficiency and deal sizes.
