Type of contract: Fixed-term (6 month).
DESCRIPTION:
Join our R&D team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to meaningful innovations that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a R&D Analytical Development Physico-chemistry Scientist, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and validation of analytical methods for biopharmaceutical products in a regulated environment (cGMP). You will bring your scientific expertise (immunoassay or physical chemistry), participate in the writing of analytical and quality documentation (procedures), and support AD and QC teams. You will also contribute to the training of colleagues, the continuous improvement of analytical activities, and provide key support to ongoing and future projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master's or PhD in a scientific field
≥ 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment
Strong knowledge in:
Development & validation of analytical methods (cGMP, ICH) is a must
Bioanalyses & physical chemistry (HPLC is a must and SEC-MALS, IEX, SDS-PAGE, WB, DLS, ELISA are a plus)
Analytical documentation & quality support (OOS/OOT) is a plus
Regulated pharma/biotech environment is a must
Autonomy, scientific rigor, team spirit
Fluent French and basic intermediate level of English are a must
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree with no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of product development or R&D experience
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related technical field
• Strong technical expertise in area of specialization (e.g., materials science, analytical methods, instrument design)
• Experience with product lifecycle management from concept through manufacturing
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and DOE methodology
• Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements (GMP, ISO, etc.)
• Demonstrated success in project execution and delivery
• Advanced computer skills including relevant design/analysis software
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills
• May require up to 15% travel
• Foreign language skills may be required for some locations
