SOC Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SOC Analyst based in India.
This SOC Analyst role sits within a high-performance cybersecurity operations environment focused on protecting enterprise systems and clients from evolving cyber threats.
You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents across complex IT infrastructures.
The role involves deep collaboration with global teams and clients to ensure timely incident response, containment, and remediation of threats.
You will work with advanced security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and network monitoring systems to analyze and correlate security events.
The position offers exposure to real-time threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response in a mission-critical environment.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement of SOC processes and support the development of junior analysts.

Accountabilities:
- Lead and support incident response investigations, ensuring timely detection, analysis, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Analyze logs, alerts, and security events from SIEM, EDR, and network tools to distinguish real threats from false positives.
- Conduct packet analysis and correlate data across systems to identify attack patterns and potential vulnerabilities.
- Participate in and lead incident response calls with internal teams and external clients, ensuring clear communication and updates.
- Perform proactive threat hunting and vulnerability analysis to identify emerging risks and suspicious activities.
- Tune, optimize, and troubleshoot security monitoring tools including SIEM, EDR, and related platforms.
- Document incident response activities, findings, and communications to ensure audit readiness and reporting accuracy.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior SOC analysts on tools, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve SOC processes, workflows, and security posture.
- Strong experience in security operations, incident response, or SOC environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and common network protocols.
- Hands-on experience analyzing logs from security and network devices.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, including command-line usage.
- Experience using security tools such as SIEM, EDR, packet capture, and forensic analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience handling client-facing incident situations.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar) is a plus for automation and efficiency.
- Experience in phishing analysis, malware investigation, and digital forensics is highly desirable.
