Sr. Director, Silicon Sourcing & Supplier Management

Note: This role offers the flexibility to be based in Taiwan or San Jose.

What You’ll Do

As Sr. Director of Silicon Sourcing & Supplier Management, this role defines and leads Cisco’s global strategy across Foundry, OSAT and Substrates, supporting Silicon One, Cisco’s flagship silicon platform. Positioned within Global Supplier Management and reporting to the Sr. Vice President, the role ensures alignment of supply, technology, and commercial strategy to support Cisco’s Silicon One.

Operating across semiconductor technology, engineering, and supply chain, the role ensures Cisco maintains technology leadership, supply continuity, and competitive advantage.

This leader is responsible for building and leading a world-class organization focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ecosystem development across the semiconductor value chain. As part of the Global Supplier Management leadership team, the role plays a critical part in enabling Cisco’s innovation, scale, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement global sourcing and supplier strategy across Foundry, OSAT, and Substrates
  • Own the end-to-end supplier ecosystem strategy supporting Silicon One, aligning capacity, technology, and roadmap readiness with product requirements
  • Partner closely with Engineering and the Operation teams to influence silicon roadmap decisions, including node selection, packaging strategy, and supplier engagement models
  • Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships across technology, commercial terms, capacity, quality, and long-term partnerships
  • Drive supply assurance and capacity planning to enable business growth
  • Monitor industry trends and technology shifts to proactively position Cisco for long-term advantage
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across sourcing, supplier management, and commercial strategy

A strategic, highly collaborative executive with deep semiconductor industry expertise and a proven ability to operate across technology and supply chain domains. Brings a forward-looking perspective and the ability to translate market and technology signals into actionable strategies that drive business outcomes.

Core Capabilities

  • Deep expertise in the semiconductor ecosystem, including Foundry, OSAT and substrates
  • Strong understanding of silicon technology roadmaps, including process nodes, advanced packaging, and capacity dynamics
  • Ability to partner with engineering and business teams to implement product development, technology, and supply chain strategies
  • Exceptional leadership and talent development capabilities, with a focus on building high-performing global teams
  • Skilled negotiator with experience structuring complex, strategic supplier agreements
  • Data-driven decision maker with a strong focus on measurable outcomes
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence executive-level team members internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in semiconductor sourcing, supplier management, or technology supply chain leadership
  • 6+ years of experience leading global teams and organizations
  • Experience supporting custom silicon programs within complex technology environments
  • Strong knowledge of Foundry, OSAT, and substrate markets, including technology trends and supplier landscape
  • Experience in product development cycles and close partnership with engineering organizations
  • Financial and commercial expertise, including cost modeling, capacity planning, and long-term agreements
