Department Overview
The Strategic Inventory Planning team goal is to maximize profitability and supply continuity by using predictive analytics (ELSA) to execute targeted buys (LTB/Bridge Buys) and structured product cancellations, minimizing corporate E&O financial liability across the product lifecycle.
Job Description
Role Purpose
To lead the global product cancellation framework from execution to executive strategy. This role leverages data-driven risk analysis and cross-functional coordination to implement aggressive excess and obsolescence (E&O) mitigation strategies, protect margins, and optimize inventory lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
Global Cancellation Governance: Own and execute the global product cancellation workflow, tracking monthly milestones against a standardized checklist to align with the product roadmap and facilitating the core team meeting cadence to drive progress.
Risk Analysis & Scenario Modeling: Prepare and deliver data-driven financial risk assessments and "What-If" cost-efficiency models for product cancellation reviews by leveraging automated workflows and securing critical CTB and raw material liability data from supply planners.
Mitigation Strategy: Drive cross-functional discussions to mitigate E&O liability by evaluating and implementing strategic inventory solutions.
Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end product cancellation process across a diverse portfolio of programs.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with global, cross-functional stakeholders to drive the development and execution of function-specific cancellation workflows.
Executive Visibility & Communication: Deliver clear project reviews and strategic updates to senior leadership, ensuring alignment on process implementation.
Milestone Tracking & Performance: Facilitate core team meeting cadences to track weekly progress, unblock bottlenecks, and continuously optimize cycle times.
Agile Problem Solving: Adapt efficiently to unique, business-specific requirements and resolve complex, shifting inventory and operational challenges in real time.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with global partners across various time zones (including early morning/late evening calls) to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment.

Basic Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Obsolescence, or Material Logistics.
Analytical Rigor: Strong data analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheet modeling (Google Sheets/Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Technical Communication: Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise actions and results for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Operational Excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with a high sense of urgency and minimal direction.
Digital Proficiency: Experience in creating and presenting high-impact analysis using Google Workspace and AI tools.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship management capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders at a tactical level.
Adaptability: Self-motivated and versatile, with the ability to solve practical problems in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Time Zone Flexibility: Capable of supporting early morning or late evening calls with global partners.
