We are looking for a Director, Strategic Supply Chain to join UPM Adhesive Materials and lead strategic supply chain planning, Sales and Operations Planning, and high-impact transformation initiatives across our global network.

What you will do

  • Lead and own the UPM Adhesive Materials Sales and Operations Planning process and drive process harmonization across regions 
  • Lead development and implementation of Integrated Business planning processes and tools in collaboration with other UPM teams  
  • Lead and develop a high performing global strategic supply chain planning team and build the organizational capability and competences to support the IBP processes 
  • Develop and implement Supply Chain models in co-operation with regional Supply Chain organizations and process owners   
  • Lead supply chain planning for global product flows 
  • Lead the optimization of the global supply network to improve efficiency, resilience and scalability 
  • Lead strategic supply chain initiatives supporting growth, transformation, and performance improvement 
  • Contribute to defining and implementing the overall supply chain strategy for UPM Adhesive Materials 

Who you are

  • You have a university degree with minimum 10 years of senior experience in supply chain management in a global environment
  • You have an analytical mindset and capability to see the big picture while understanding also details
  • You have global business understanding and acumen, strategic thinking, strategy creation and implementation capabilities
  • You have experience in leading sales and operations planning and scenario planning and integrated business planning processes in a complex organization
  • You have experience with planning tools and systems
  • You have experience in leading change projects, you have a good understanding of global trade processes
  • You have great communication, collaboration, influencing and leadership skills
  • You have excellent networking capabilities and ability to work in a matrix organization

Additional information about the position

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in UPM Business Hub Poland in Wrocław.

Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time. 

The position holder will report to Senior Vice President, Sourcing & Supply Chain.
