The Jr. Driver Manager supports field operations and logistics efficiency by ensuring safety, complaints, and optimized fleet and driver management. The role is driving operational excellence through resource planning, route optimization, and safety-first practices while enabling continuous improvement across driver operations, warehouse activities, and compliance standards. By contributing to daily operations and strategic planning, the role is helping improve efficiency, safety performance, and overall service delivery within the region.
As a Jr. Driver Manager, you will be responsible for:
Instilling a strong safety culture by leading safety initiatives, conducting safety observations, and organizing safety meetings
Driving field resource deployment planning and executing operations to meet customer and business performance metrics
Building and maintaining strong coordination with Baker Hughes personnel while monitoring team performance and supporting career development
Delivering employee training programs and ensuring capability development across driver teams
Developing long-term forecasts for regional resource requirements
Creating and executing short and long-term resource plans, including recruitment, driver assessments, and advanced training mentoring
Developing and implementing operational plans to support departmental activities and business objectives
Identifying and driving improvements in processes, systems, and procedures
Demonstrating in-depth understanding of treater, delivery, and warehouse operations
Collaborating with executive and operational teams to contribute to overall South Texas business unit planning
Managing day-to-day driver activities and ensuring operational efficiency
Monitoring and optimizing delivery and treater routes using systems such as Samsara, Omnitracs, and fleet management platforms
Managing inventory and warehouse operations, including internal and external audits
Interfacing with Account Managers, Field Managers, and customers to ensure seamless operations
Managing and auditing fleet repairs and maintenance activities with proper documentation
Conducting vehicle audits (including heavy-duty vehicles) and maintaining compliance records
Ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations and audit standards
Driving HSE compliance with a strong focus on safety, competency tracking, and reporting through systems such as Kahuna, LMS, and Intelex
Providing operational support, including vacation coverage for drivers and warehouse personnel
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience in fleet management, logistics operations, or field operations
Have exposure to safety, compliance, and HSE practices within an operational environment
Have experience in managing or supporting driver’s teams, warehouse operations, or logistics workflows
Have knowledge of fleet management systems such as Samsara, Omnitracs, or similar tools
Have exposure to DOT regulations, audits, and compliance processes
Have the ability to manage day-to-day operations and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships
Have the ability to analyze operational data and identify improvement opportunities
