Warehouse Operator is responsible for managing the daily operations of a warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products, while ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Goods:
Warehouse operators unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and verify that the correct items have been received against packing lists and purchase orders.
Inventory Management:
They maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and report discrepancies. Operators will be trained to use RF scanners, to conduct daily cycle count task.
Despatch:
Operators pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring that the right products are selected and securely packed for delivery, Appling packaging materials according to the requirement.
After packing orders, they prepare shipments, generate shipping labels, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
Storage and Organization:
They organize products within the warehouse to maximize space and facilitate easy access, ensuring proper labelling and categorization.
Equipment Operation:
Operators are trained to operate forklifts and pallet jacks and must adhere to safety protocols.
Skills and Qualifications
Physical Stamina: The role often requires lifting heavy items and being on one's feet for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment is crucial.
Organizational Skills: Effective organization of goods and inventory is essential for smooth operations. Working as a team and good communication skills.
Safety Awareness: Adhering to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace is a key responsibility.
