Revenue and Inventory Accounting Manager, Pacific
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role, you will lead the local team and partner closely with the broader Finance function, while also collaborating with key Nike commercial teams, including Sales, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Retail. You will work in partnership with our Offshore Managed Service Provider, engage regularly with our regional headquarters and Nike Inc. global teams, and contribute to a wide range of local and global projects and initiatives.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
NIKE Pacific is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual with strong technical accounting expertise, commercial problem-solving capabilities, and business partnering skills to join the Pacific Finance Team as the Revenue and Inventory Accounting Manager, Pacific.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays a key part in managing Marketplace Accounting across Sales, Inventory, and Retail-related accounting processes for the Australia and New Zealand businesses.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline, together with a CA/CPA qualification and a minimum of five years’ experience; prior experience in a trading or retail environment is highly regarded.
Strong technical accounting expertise, supported by solid process knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining effective internal controls within a SOX-controlled environment.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, multitask effectively, and engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams, supporting career growth while fostering an inclusive and high-performing team environment.
Advanced Excel capabilities, with experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience is highly regarded.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As the Revenue and Inventory Accounting Manager, Pacific, you will be a key member of the Pacific Finance leadership team, responsible for:
Lead, coach, and inspire the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Manage end-to-end marketplace accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Oversee judgmental reserves, including returns, discounts, MDF, claims, obsolescence, and other commercial provisions, through regular reviews in partnership with business owners.
Serve as the subject matter expert for technical accounting policy within marketplace accounting, acting as a key point of reference for the team and broader business.
Partner cross-functionally as the finance lead on business projects, providing systems, process, and accounting expertise.
Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, leveraging technology and automation, building team capability, and creating operational efficiencies.
Maintain strong internal control compliance and support the proactive identification and management of risk.
