About the Role

We are seeking a Group Consolidation Accountant to assist the Group Consolidation Manager and the Group Financial Controller with the statutory consolidation of the Group’s financial results.  The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or qualified accountant with experience of a statutory consolidation under IFRS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Group’s record of intercompany balances and intercompany matrix
  • Ensure intercompany balances are correctly stated and eliminated at a Group level.
  • Liaise with regional Finance teams regarding intercompany balances as appropriate.
  • Resolution of historic intercompany accounting issues.
  • Ensure intercompany loans are supported by loan agreements.
  • Ensure intercompany interest has been correctly recorded.
  • Assist the Group Consolidation Manager with the following:
    • Preparation of the Group’s monthly consolidation for statutory accounting purposes.
    • Annual audit.
    • Acquisition accounting
    • Technical accounting memos
    • Year end accounting adjustments (IFRS 2, IFRS 9 etc.)
    • Audit Committee preparation
    • Review of accounting for property costs under IFRS 16.
    • Preparation of quarterly and annual compliance statements.
    • Preparation of lender reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement in Finance processes.
  • Support Group Finance initiatives as required.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential Skills

  • Group accounting experience
  • Experience of preparing intercompany reconciliations
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a private equity–backed or fast‑growth environment is advantageous

  • Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities in an evolving environment
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a willingness to get hands‑on
