We are now looking for a Senior Accountant / Process Expert, Record-to-Close, to join our Finance & Control team supporting the UPM Paper Business.

What you will do
Lead and perform complex accounting tasks in your area, focusing on Group, statutory and tax reporting in the Paper Business
Take ownership of the execution and quality assurance of Finnish statutory financial statements and corporate income tax reporting activities
Oversee the high-quality and timely execution of Record-to-Close processes, taking responsibility for end-to-end delivery and the accuracy of reported information within your area
Collaborate closely with outsourcing partners and key stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient ways of working
Contribute to global projects, development initiatives, and regulatory or reporting changes in your area
Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement to Record-to-Close processes
Who you are
You are a self-directed finance professional with a solution-oriented mindset. Your analytical thinking, understanding of record-to-report processes and ability to prioritize support both your success and the success of the team.
You have strong knowledge and several years of relevant work experience in accounting and reporting processes (IFRS and FAS)
You have good analytical skills and the ability to understand and work with complex processes and data flows
You collaborate effectively with others and contribute to a positive team environment in a global setting
You are adaptable and open to change, with a proactive approach to your work
You have strong IT skills. In addition to MS Office, experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4 is considered an asset
You are fluent in Finnish and comfortable using English as a working language
You have a relevant degree in Finance, preferably in accounting, taxation or business administration
Experience in a similar industry and business processes is considered an asset

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Tampere, Finland.
The position holder will report to Process Manager, Record-to-Close.
