This role is a high-ownership opportunity within a fast-scaling fintech environment, offering the chance to shape and strengthen the accounting function from the ground up.
You will take full responsibility for the month-end close process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting across all periods.
The position plays a key role in driving accounting operations, process improvements, and automation initiatives that support scalable growth.
You will act as a core finance partner, collaborating cross-functionally on financial systems, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Controller, with significant exposure to both operational and strategic accounting decisions.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and manage the full-cycle month-end, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close calendar management.
  • Prepare and review financial statements along with detailed flux and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting.
  • Lead the external audit process, serving as the primary liaison with auditors and managing all documentation and information requests.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and scalable process documentation aligned with U.S. GAAP standards.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across the accounting function to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Support strategic accounting projects such as system migrations, new product launches, and financial system enhancements.
  • Review and oversee the work of junior team members and outsourced partners to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support financial reporting needs and operational initiatives.
  • Requirements:

    • 5–7 years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and in-house finance roles.
    • CPA designation or CPA candidate with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Proven experience independently owning a full-cycle month-end close process in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong proficiency with NetSuite (required), and familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, Ramp, or Airbase.
    • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate large financial datasets.
    • Experience supporting audits and working directly with external auditors.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
    • Ability to operate autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in high-growth environments.
