At its industrial site located in Aix-les-Bains (France), GE Vernova's Grid Solutions business designs, tests and manufactures gas-insulated electrical substations for its national and international customers.

Reasons/context for recruiting:

•As part of its digital transformation, the Contracts department wishes to optimize the exploitation of its data (financial, customer and projects) to increase the operational efficiency of teams. The challenge is to move from fragmented data management to “Data-Driven” management allowing quick and secure decision-making for project managers and management.

•To support this ambition, we are recruiting a Business Analyst apprentice to structure our databases, make our information flows reliable and deploy innovative visualization tools (Dashboards).

Missions/tasks assigned:

Under the responsibility of the Service Manager, you manage the increase in digital maturity of the department:

• Audit & Diagnosis: Conduct an inventory of existing databases and identify areas for improvement (cleanliness, redundancy, security).

• Data Structuring: Propose and implement solutions to make databases more robust, structured and scalable.

• Business Intelligence (BI): Design and deploy dynamic dashboards (Dashboards) under Power BI to monitor business progress and performance indicators (KPIs).

• Interfacing & Automation: Ensure consistency and data flow between our various tools (ERP/SAP, source files, management tools) in order to limit manual entries.

• Support for change: Train internal users to use new tools and to read indicators.

Specific skills required:

• Data Analysis: Advanced knowledge of Excel and database manipulation (SQL is a plus).

• Data Visualization: Knowledge of Power BI (Power Query, DAX) or equivalent tool.

• Information systems: Good understanding of data flows and ideally knowledge of an ERP (SAP).

• Job: Sensitivity to the contractual and financial challenges of industrial projects.

• English: Ability to evolve in an international environment (tools and reporting in English).

Level of education required:

•BAC+5 — Engineering School, Business School or Specialized Master (Information Systems/Business Analysis/ Project Management).

•Data/Business Intelligence/Data Analytics, Business Intelligence/Information Systems, Industrial Engineering with a data/digitalization option, Production Management with data & digital tools specialization
