Business Analyst Middle [Finance Reporting]

Platacard · Worldwide

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Finance team and help develop internal financial reporting products and regulatory reporting processes.
The team is responsible for budgeting, financial planning, accounting and financial reporting. As the business grows, the team is working to improve data quality, automate reporting processes, and establish clear ownership and controls across finance operations.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of finance, data, reporting, automation, and product development. You will help document financial processes, structure reporting requirements, map data flows across systems, and support the development of internal tools that improve transparency, control, and efficiency.

Challenges that await you:

  • Documenting data flows and their usage across financial and regulatory reporting processes
  • Defining and documenting financial metrics, calculation logic, data sources, and reporting requirements
  • Formalizing reporting preparation, reconciliation, and validation processes
  • Defining process ownership, responsibilities, controls, and SLA structures
  • Working with Data Analysts to define requirements for Regulatory Reports Reconciliation and Stress Test platforms
  • Building and maintaining a backlog of finance process automation initiatives
  • Coordinating activities between report owners, Finance teams, Data Analysts, and Engineering teams
  • Identifying bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies in reporting and data management processes
  • Assessing the impact of new products and business initiatives on financial and regulatory reporting
  • Gathering and managing business requirements related to new treasury, finance, and reporting initiatives
  • Supporting automation of reconciliation, reporting controls, and data quality monitoring
  • Producing business requirements, process diagrams, data definitions, and operational documentation

What makes you a great fit:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience working in banking, fintech, or financial services
  • Understanding of data flows, data warehouses (DWH), and financial data structures
  • Experience documenting business processes, requirements, and system interactions
  • Experience working with financial information from multiple systems and data sources
  • Experience creating operational procedures, policies, instructions, and process documentation
  • Experience collaborating with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Payments, Risk, or Reporting teams
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to quickly understand complex financial processes
  • Experience facilitating communication between business stakeholders, data teams, and engineering teams
  • B2 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team

Your bonus skills:

  • Experience with Treasury, Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Regulatory Reporting
  • Familiarity with regulatory financial metrics such as Net FX Position, LCR, NSFR, and related liquidity or funding indicators
  • Experience with reconciliation, data quality controls, or financial reporting automation
  • Spanish language skills
  • Confident use of AI tools such as Claude for research, analysis, and documentation

Our ways of working:

  • Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions

  • Honest Feedback: valuing open, transparent communication

  • Supportive Team: a strong, collaborative community

  • Celebrating Achievements: recognizing our wins together

  • High-Tech Environment: a team full of smart and revolutionary people who date to challenge the status quo of incumbent finances

Our benefits:

  • Relocation support to one of our hubs — Cyprus, Serbia or Georgia — with assistance for the employee and their family

  • Flexible work from one of our offices or remote

  • Healthcare Coverage

  • Education Budget: Language lessons, professional training and certifications

  • Wellness Budget: Mental health and fitness activity reimbursements

  • Vacation policy: 20 days of annual leave and paid sick leave
