Risk Analyst

Platacard · Colombia

We are looking for a Risk Analyst.

As we launch in Colombia, join a high-ownership team and build out the Business Plan, Provisions & Reporting function from scratch — a role that sits at the intersection of financial risk and the bank's core business model. You will design and own the business planning, provisioning, and internal reporting workflows, directly shaping how the bank's financial model works from day one.

Challenges that await you:

  • Lead internal risk reporting processes (market, liquidity, VaR, IRRBB, and credit risk), ensuring timely and consistent outputs
  • Contribute to the business planning process from a risk perspective and drive capital consumption optimization
  • Run provisioning calculations (ECL / IFRS 9) and build out the process based on the established methodology, working with Data/IT teams on data requirements
  • Prepare calculations, reporting packages, and materials for investors
  • Extract and prepare data from the DWH, develop calculations in Excel and/or Python, and automate recurring runs where possible
  • Ensure calculations produce consistent outputs and that results can be uploaded into reporting systems
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and validation of results
  • Drive continuous improvement of risk reporting and calculation processes and automation

What makes you a great fit:

  • 3+ years of experience in banking, financial risk, or a related field
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, PivotTables, working with large datasets)
  • Python skills (data manipulation, calculations, automation)
  • Understanding of banking and financial risks (market risk, liquidity risk, VaR, IRRBB, and credit risk)
  • Ability to work with DWH data and basic/intermediate SQL
  • Experience defining data requirements and working with IT/data teams

Your bonus skills:

  • Experience with internal risk reporting, capital optimization, or provisioning (ECL / IFRS 9) is a strong advantage
  • Experience with ALM
  • Experience with regulatory reporting
  • Tableau or other BI/visualization tools

Our ways of working:

  • Innovative Spirit: A commitment to creativity and groundbreaking solutions
  • Honest Feedback: valuing open, transparent communication
  • Supportive Team: a strong, collaborative community
  • Celebrating Achievements: recognizing our wins together
  • High-Tech Environment: a team full of smart and revolutionary people who date to challenge the status quo of incumbent finances

Our benefits:

  • Relocation support to Mexico with assistance for the employee and their family
  • Flexible work from one of our offices or remote
  • Healthcare Coverage
  • Education Budget: Language lessons, professional training and certifications
  • Wellness Budget: Mental health and fitness activity reimbursements
  • Vacation policy: 20 days of annual leave and paid sick leave
