Professionals in TPI are involved in live engagements from the outset, contributing to analysis, execution and client deliverables in coordination with colleagues across the firm. The Data Analytics team serves as a strategic capability across Portage Point, enabling business intelligence, operational reporting, workflow automation, enterprise applications and emerging AI initiatives. This team partners with leaders across the firm to deliver scalable technology solutions that improve decision-making, enhance operational efficiency and support continued growth. Data Analytics team members are responsible for supporting and advancing the firm's data, reporting, automation and application development platforms.

The Vice President (VP), Data Analytics represents a unique opportunity to assume a wide range of responsibilities and make a significant impact. This VP will play a critical role in executing the strategy, architecture, governance and execution of modern data platform while partnering with analytics leaders to deliver solutions that drive measurable business impact. The VP, Data Analytics will report directly into the Senior Vice President, Data Analytics and lead Portage Point's India-based Data Analytics team, manage the delivery, operations and continued development of firm data, analytics and application platforms. A successful candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership capability and business acumen, with demonstrated experience building and managing modern analytics ecosystems leveraging Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Power BI, Azure and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior team membersto lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and operational effectiveness
  • Drive adoption of enterprise analytics, self-service reporting and data-driven decision making across the organization
  • Help define architecture and governance standards for Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Power BI, Azure and Power Platform solutions
  • Execute best practices for semantic modeling, business intelligence and reporting governance while ensuring data quality, reliability, security, scalability and performance across the firm’s technology ecosystem
  • Oversee enterprise data modeling, orchestration, transformation, reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Support the development of AI-enabled solutions and data products that create measurable business value
  • Lead sprint planning, prioritization, resource allocation and project execution activities
  • Drive delivery of enterprise applications, reporting solutions and automation initiatives
  • Emphasize engineering standards, development processes and quality assurance practices
  • Support talent acquisition and firm development efforts
  • Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics from a top undergraduate program required
  • Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
  • Six plus years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, cloud platforms or related technical disciplines, preferably at a top-tier advisory firm serving U.S. clients
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing complex technology initiatives
  • Deep technical expertise with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow and Power BI
  • Demonstrated expertise with GitHub, including enterprise repository management, branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews, release management and CI / CD integration using GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, enterprise reporting and modern data architecture
  • Experience designing and supporting cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, adopt and leverage AI technologies to improve engineering productivity, automate business processes and enhance data-driven decision-making
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions, workflow automation and digital transformation initiatives
  • Advanced SQL and Python development experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience establishing enterprise data governance frameworks
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
  • Experience in high-growth environments
