Sr. Regional Partner BD Manager

Through Amazon Global Selling, sellers of different types and sizes can directly reach Amazon’s 300+ million worldwide active customer accounts, including 150 million+ Prime customers in overseas Amazon marketplaces; and millions of institutional buyers.

Partner Development team primarily works with local governments, industry leading associations, and strategic key partners to create/shape better local supporting ecosystem for the industry and our business to influence their local strategies creating an environment for our regional offices across China, and our China Sellers to better engage in and grow their businesses. We are seeking a experienced, self-driven, and deadline-oriented Strategic Partner BD manager. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting growing business, as well as local ecosystem building. In this role, you will work closely with members of Strategic Partner BD team, central marketing teams, business teams, PP/PR and other cross functions for partnership planning and landing to meet the pre-aligned goals. The ideal candidate is a proven record of government/partnership/business identification and development. You should have a hands-on approach with planning, communication, till execution, and possess excellent project management skills.


Key job responsibilities

His/her responsibilities include but not limited to:
1) Identifying and building regional partnerships to drive Amazon Global Selling's penetration in the local market;
2) Building the regional alliance system with key partners incl. governments/associations/service providers to enhance their support for Amazon Global Selling business;
3) Facilitating high-level meetings between Amazon Global Selling executives and key stakeholders, including senior government officials;
4) Acting as the point of contact from Amazon Global Selling to local governments, to influence their strategy formulation, to handle government related requests and issues properly; and
5) Working closely with corporate functions such as PP, PR, Legal, Finance and Tax for prior alignment.- 10+ years working experience, among which 5 + years in government relationship or business development;
- Proven track record of sealing deals with partner;
- Excellent communicator, comfortable with frequent cross-functional and senior management communications and be able to exert indirect authority to deliver results;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent oral and written English and Chinese, capability to write formal documents; and
- Can handle frequent travels.- Proactive approach to handle challenges and last minute change on daily work
- Collaborative attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure
