Google Play provides apps, games, and digital content services that bring Android devices to life. It’s a Google approach to entertainment, syncing magically across your devices and the web. As part of the Platform and Ecosystem team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping the product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy a game or ebook on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Play Store serves over two billion users around the world, and is a critical driver of Google’s overall revenue growth.
The Play Partnerships team works with the developers that are the lifeblood of this ecosystem. The content, games and apps they create bring Android devices to life. The team’s mission is twofold: help developers grow their businesses on the Android platform, and inspire them to adopt new products and features to create helpful and joyful experiences for our users.
As a Business Development Lead, Content Acquisition, Play Games Partnerships, you will source and secure premium games that do not currently exist on our platform. This may require establishing new relationships with developers we may not have worked with before.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
