This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AZURE Data Engineer / Analyst based in Brazil.

This role sits at the core of a large-scale data modernization initiative within the logistics sector, focused on transforming complex operational and business data into high-value insights. You will work across both data engineering and analytics domains, building scalable Azure-based pipelines while also delivering meaningful dashboards and analytical outputs for decision-making. The environment is highly collaborative and distributed, requiring strong autonomy and the ability to act as a technical reference for both business and engineering stakeholders. You will be responsible for designing reliable data architectures that integrate on-premise and cloud systems while ensuring performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. In parallel, you will translate data into actionable insights through BI tools and advanced analytics. This is a senior-level role where your expertise will directly influence data strategy, operational intelligence, and business performance. The context is fast-paced, modern, and strongly oriented toward cloud-native transformation.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions using Azure services such as Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Data Lake.
  • Develop and optimize data models and integration processes across on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau, translating data into actionable business insights and performance indicators.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL and Kusto queries, as well as scripts and API-based data extraction processes.
  • Ensure data reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency across cloud environments.
  • Act as a technical reference for data engineering and analytics, guiding teams on best practices and data usage.
  • Collaborate within Agile/Scrum environments, managing tasks and priorities using tools such as Jira.
  • Support stakeholders in understanding and interpreting data to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Requirements:

    • Strong experience in IT, with a focus on Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics roles.
    • Advanced hands-on expertise with Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake).
    • Proven ability to design analytical data models and develop dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and Kusto Query Language (KQL) for large-scale data processing.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira.
    • Advanced English (C1 level or higher), with the ability to communicate effectively in global, distributed teams.
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex datasets into business impact.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience with ETL tools, data modeling approaches, or cloud certifications (e.g., Azure PL-300) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with logistics domain or SAP environments is a strong advantage.
