This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engenheiro de Dados Pleno Azure & Databricks based in Brazil.

This role is an opportunity to work at the core of modern data engineering initiatives, building scalable and reliable data solutions in a cloud-first environment. You will be responsible for transforming complex business needs into robust data pipelines, enabling high-quality analytics and decision-making across the organization. The position involves close collaboration with business and technical teams to identify opportunities, define hypotheses, and deliver impactful insights. You will also contribute to the automation and optimization of data processes using Azure and Databricks ecosystems. In addition, you will help ensure data availability, performance, and governance standards. This is a highly collaborative and technically challenging environment, ideal for professionals who enjoy solving real business problems with data.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and automate data analysis and data processing pipelines, ensuring efficiency and scalability across systems.
  • Identify market and business variations, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Work closely with business areas to gather requirements and define analytical hypotheses.
  • Build, maintain, and publish dashboards and analytical reports (Power BI) for different organizational levels.
  • Lead technically initiatives related to data processes, metrics definition, and analytical frameworks.
  • Design and optimize data solutions using Azure Data Services, Databricks, and related tools.
  • Improve query and pipeline performance across relational and analytical environments.
  • Requirements:

    • Strong experience with SQL (advanced level), including performance tuning and query optimization.
    • Solid knowledge of data modeling (relational and multidimensional).
    • Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks.
    • Hands-on experience with Azure ecosystem, including Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or similar tools.
    • Experience with Spark for large-scale data processing.
    • Knowledge of Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization.
    • Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server and NoSQL (MongoDB).
    • Experience with SSRS and reporting solutions.
    • Knowledge of Java/Spring is a plus.
    • Understanding of Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
    • Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work in team-oriented environments.
