Summary:
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP BODS Lead to drive offshore data migration delivery for an ongoing SAP S/4HANA transformation program. The lead will be responsible for managing a team of 3 BODS developers and owning the end-to-end delivery of 8–10 data migration objects from design through cutover.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of 3 offshore SAP BODS developers, managing task allocation, code reviews, and delivery timelines
Own end-to-end technical delivery for 8–10 assigned data migration objects across SAP modules
Design and develop ETL jobs in SAP BODS for extraction, transformation, validation, and loading of data into SAP S/4HANA
Define and implement load strategies using LTMC, LSMW, IDocs, BAPIs, or ABAP-based load programs based on object requirements
Build pre-load and post-load validation and reconciliation jobs to ensure data accuracy and business sign-off readiness
Coordinate with onshore functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve data issues, and track defects
Prepare and maintain technical design documents, mapping specs, load cycle plans, and cutover runbooks
Monitor and optimize ETL job performance, applying tuning techniques such as push-down optimization, parallelism, and partitioning
Support mock load cycles and cutover execution, ensuring zero critical defects at go-live
Report delivery status, risks, and issues to the project manager and onshore lead regularly
Required Skills & Experience
8–10 years of SAP BODS experience with hands-on expertise in ETL design, data transformation, and S/4HANA migration
Strong working knowledge of LTMC, LSMW, IDocs, BAPIs, and ABAP-based load programs
Experience leading or coordinating a team of BODS developers in an offshore delivery model
Proficiency in SQL, SAP HANA, and at least one RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server)
Solid understanding of SAP master and transactional data objects across FI and/or MM modules
Experience with data validation, reconciliation, data quality frameworks, and business sign-off processes
15 years full time education
