In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural framework of bespoke software solutions. This position requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of design and delivery, ensuring that development practices meet established standards. The role focuses on maintaining high levels of code quality, scalability, and performance, all while aligning with the broader business goals. Collaboration and leadership are central, as the individual steers the team towards successful project outcomes and continuous improvement in software engineering processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve software architecture to enhance system scalability and maintainability.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Denodo Data Virtualization Platform.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of data integration and virtualization concepts.
- Ability to design scalable and high-performance software architectures.
- Experience in leading software development teams and managing technical projects.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Denodo Data Virtualization Platform.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
