Managed Spark Service (formerly Dataproc) enables open source data analytics and data processing users to modernize their open-source big data analytics workloads in the cloud. Dedicated to meeting customers where they are, managed spark service enables users to quickly provision and manage clusters, serverless compute, and execute high scale workloads
In this role, you will manage the issues in the field, including multi-tenant security, cluster management, capacity planning, and optimizing startup performance while maintaining cost efficiency. Beyond technical execution, you will drive organizational growth by influencing software engineers and technical leadership across the Managed Spark ecosystem and the broader company. Furthermore, you will integrate advanced AI-driven management tools and development techniques to enhance team productivity and streamline service delivery.
US: $262000 - $365000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
- Experience with cloud computing, cloud APIs and control planes.
- Experience with software architecture and scalability.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience in long-term technology tests across interdependent services, including scalability, maintainability, deployability, reliability, and supportability.
- Experience in driving software architecture evolution both tactically and strategically.
- Ability to influence across multiple teams and geos.
