Red Hat Product Security is looking for an individual passionate about open source, software development and security to join us as a Product Security Development team in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will contribute to various services to improve the security of Red Hat products such as the internal artifact signing infrastructure or code scanning tools and help us make our products more secure.
You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience in security tools and services development, growing your expertise in the security domain. Security is a critical priority for organizations today. In the long term, this position will allow you to gain in-depth security expertise and extensive knowledge of Red Hat’s business and open-source culture.
Work within an agile development framework
Engage in the creation, evaluation, and investigation of security-focused tools and services.
Learn and understand the technologies involved
Complete tasks on a given timeline
Communicate task progress, which may include delays or changing the completion date
Quickly respond to security threats
Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
Experience with Python programming language
Experience with Git and open source contribution workflows
Ability to code and learn new programming languages
Self-driven interest in cybersecurity
Experience with Continuous Integration / Delivery
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to directly interact with other teams
Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback that directly impacts our business goals
Ability to help define, follow, and enforce processes
The following is considered a plus
Experience with the Go and Rust language
Experience with Security and cryptography
Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Ansible, Tekton, ArgoCD
Familiarity with Linux operating systems
Understanding of how Open Source and free software communities work
Experience with code-reviews
Experience using AI for security automation, threat analysis, or vulnerability detection.
