Do you enjoy working with automation technology and solving problems? We are now looking for a Turbine Control System Lead Engineer based in Gliwice, Poland.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Engineer for Marine Refits segment, to join our Automation Systems Business Area in Gliwice or Wrocław, Poland. In this role, you will lead the technical execution and planning of refit projects in coordination with the Project Manager and Team Leader. You will act as the main technical point of contact, overseeing all engineering aspects and ensuring alignment with contractual requirements. The role includes site surveys, documentation, testing (FAT), installation supervision, commissioning, and sea trials.
Key responsibilities:
Participate to sales process as technical advisor supporting Team Leader Marine Refits.
Manage and coordinate technical aspects on assigned projects ensuring fulfillment of technical contractual requirements, internal standards and Customer’s expectations.
Monitors engineering activities execution on assigned refits and escalates technical issues in cooperation with Team Leader Marine Refits.
Acts as main technical interface between Valmet and Customers for the whole project duration, ensuring the proper information flow to and from all areas concerned on assigned refits.
Participate to project definition and project engineering meetings.
Develop engineering according to sold scope.
Identify and report deviations with respect to sold scope to support add-on sales/contract deviation reporting.
Lead internal FAT and customer FAT with third-party Class.
Participate to refit activities onboard (either in Dry Dock, Wet Dock or while ship sailing) including installation supervision, commissioning and start-up activities.
Participate to SAT with Class and Customer.
Participate to sea trials.
Produce site activities reports and as-built documentation.
Who is the candidate we are looking for
Must-have:
Technical knowledge of hardware and system aspects in automation systems;
Committed, target oriented, methodic, able to work under pressure;
Advanced knowledge of Office suite;
Advanced knowledge of Visio;
Polish mother tongue/fluent
English fluent/mother tongue;
B driving license;
Willingness and availability to travel about 30-50% of your working time.
Desired:
Experience in automation networks, software application development;
Experience with ERP systems;
Experience with project planning (MS Project).
